Fitting

Shell fit up is performed with a custom machine designed and built by TSI. Fit up of cylinders up to 16' in diameter and with surface misalignment of 1 mm or less are accomplished consistently. This machine enables TSI to fit wind tower and vessel shells in lengths up to 120 feet long quickly and accurately. Each power ram is independently operated to allow fit up points in all 360 deg of the shell. tack plates, wedges, and hammers are no longer needed for good fit ups.
